Time for Hillary to step off the stepping stone
We all know that Hillary Clinton has been running for president since her husband left office. Actually, she's probably been running for a lot longer than that. She officially announced her Casa Blanca intentions this month to the surprise of anyone who had just emerged from a decade-long stint in a cave.
Whether we want to admit it or not, those of us who live in New York all know that her job as United States Senator has been nothing more than a stepping stone on the way to her larger ambitions. We elected her twice (I use "we" here in a very general way), even though we knew that she simply picked a prominent state with an open senate seat to get some elective office experience on her resume.
Now, however, all pretense has been completely obliterated. Even she can no longer deny the fact that all of her will is bent on becoming the next President of the United States. She was already in Iowa yesterday, stumping like it's 2008. Therefore, it is time to officially end the facade of Hillary Clinton the New Yorker. No one can argue with a straight face that she will be dedicated to representing New York in the US Senate for the next two years.
Mrs. Clinton, the time has come to pack up your carpet bag and leave New York for good. Let's give Eliot Spitzer a chance to appoint a senator who might actually focus his or her energies on representing New York State.

Very well said. I seem to remember she ran on the premise that she was not going to abandon here office for the Presidency
